Music that makes sense, from a man that makes little – Chris was born in Appalachia, in that same Ohio county that produced architect Cass Gilbert and novelist Zane Grey – Born into a past that the present cannot sever from tomorrow, Chris took to traditional music like the wino to the bottle – first a student of the blues, rock ’n’ roll, later country, bluegrass, and western, with ancestors for instructors – Chris is a purveyor of the American songwriting tradition, with contributions all his own – Introducing Chris Emmert represents his first EP and commits a cache of new American songs to the musical record.
